Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008

Time: Race starts at 9:00 AM Sharp!

Distance:  Run 5 miles to Union Center, canoe 6 miles to Wonewoc, bike 8 miles to Elroy

Cost: $25.00 per person (fee includes bike pass for day of event only and t-shirt). A $1.00 per person convenience fee is add for online credit card registrations.

Pre-registration:  Must pre-register by September 12, 2008.  After this date cost is $35.00 per person (fee includes bike pass for day of event only and t-shirt). A $1.00 per person convenience fee is add for online credit card registrations.

PRIOR TO CHECK IN: DROP CANOE AT TRANSITION POINT IN UNION CENTER
AND YOUR BIKE AT TRANSITION POINT IN WONEWOC AFTER 7A.M. (WATCH FOR SIGNS)

Race Check In:  7:00 AM - 8:30 AM at Gazebo in Field Veteran's Memorial Park, Hillsboro, WI

Course: Starting point – Field Veteran’s Memorial Park boat launch, Hillsboro, WI (Hwy 80 bridge); Ending point – Elroy Commons, Elroy, WI

Times: Elapsed time given at transition points

Categories: Individual or Teams of 2-4 people; must be 14 years or older


Awards:

  • Individual Female Category: 1st place - $100 & medal; 2nd place - $50 & medal; 3rd place - $25 & medal
  • Individual Male Category: 1st place - $100 & medal; 2nd place - $50 & medal; 3rd place - $25 & medal
  • Team Category: 1st place - $150 per team & medals; 2nd place - $75 per team & medals; 3rd place - $50 per team & medals

Additional Important Details

You must provide your own bike; no tandems; one person per bike

You must provide your own canoe or kayak; one canoe or kayak per team

Helmets must be worn during the biking portion of the triathlon or person/team will be disqualified

Lifejacket(s) must be in the boat per state law; registered contestants only in canoes"To qualify for an individual award, participant must compete in each leg solo"
